Binh Dinh has feed mill with capacity of 240,000 tons per year

Cargill Feed & Nutrition (CFN) Company of Cargill Group recently celebrated the inauguration of the $ 20 million Plant Expansion project in Binh Dinh Province. This is one of eight Cargill animal feed factories in Vietnam with capacity of 240,000 tons per year.

This expansion project will help the company increase its ability to meet the growing demand for high efficiency foods from domestic customers. The expansion will increase Cargill's total investment in animal husbandry and aquaculture in Vietnam to over $ 110 million in the next 10 years.

"Our investments show Cargill's belief and commitment to the development and future of the Vietnamese animal feed industry," said Joe Stone, global sales manager for Cargill Feed & Nutrition. "Our goal in Vietnam is to create top value for our customers.  "We do this by providing comprehensive nutrition solutions drawn from professional experience and local market knowledge. "

Factory capacity will increase fourfold after expansion, from 60,000 tons per year to 240,000 tons per year. Cargill's goal is to provide customers with safe and reliable products to maximize operational efficiency, thereby improving the food safety status of the whole supply chain in Vietnam.

Cargill is one of the leading feed manufacturers in Vietnam. In 2012, the company pledged to build more feed mills to double its capacity to 1.5 million tonnes per year by 2015 to meet growing consumer demand for high quality feed. With this expansion project, Cargill's total plant capacity will be 1.4 million tonnes per year in Vietnam and will create 50 additional jobs for the sales and support offices in Binh Dinh Province.
